סיפור מקרה פליטת כדור... from GlockTalk
Clearing the trusty Glock 19 to pull the slide, I could have sworn that Id already removed the magazine (first mistake no positive visual for mag removal). Racked the slide once (second mistake) and no ejection; point in safe direction (down) and BANG!
My heart stopped. My wife and one child was in the room with me, one other was outside but our third was downstairs somewhere. So, for that matter was the dog. I set the gun aside and we ran for the stairs. The room beneath the ND was the kitchen, with a dropped ceiling and a ceramic tile floor. As we rounded the hallway, our son came towards us from the kitchen. We feared the worst, but it turns out he beat us there trying to find out what the noise was!
We went into the kitchen and quickly found the hole in the ceiling. The floor seemed unscathed and my wife found the bullet probably 10 from impact. (We could not determine the impact point on the floor) The floor was covered near where the round should have impacted with foam stuffing.
The round was a Winchester 9mm 115gr personal defense. Punched right through the rug, pad, hardwood floor (nearly 2 of hardwood old house!), ceiling lath & plaster, and the ceiling tile. Once in the kitchen itself, the round continued down, through a damaged stuffed elephant on our babys Exersaucer, entering small, but literally tearing the stuffing out of the animal and leaving a large exit tear on a seam. In a fit of nervousness, I noted to myself that my Glock had taken out an elephant with one shot . The ceramic tile floor was undamaged; so much so, I couldn't even determine the point of impact. I see why ballistic vests use ceramic plates.
