אזהרת וירוס - נא בדקו את המחשב שלכם.

קיבלתי מחבר מייל עם אזהרת הוירוס והוראות כיצד להסירו. לאחר בדיקה במחשב שלי, התברר כי המנוול אכן נמצא גם אצלי על המחשב. אבל !!! מסתבר כי זהו קובץ מערכת, וההוראות "כיצד להסיר את הקובץ הנגוע" הן בעצם הוראות כזב, העלולות לפגוע בתפקוד המערכת שלכם.

This is a bit of a drag, but someone just sent me this and I found the little bugger lurking in my C: drive...best to check your computers, too.  It take less than a minute to delete it if you find it...here's how:

SINCE YOU ARE IN MY ADDRESS BOOK, THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE YOU'LL FIND IT IN
YOUR COMPUTER TOO. THE VIRUS (called jdbgmgr.exe) IS NOT DETECTED BY NORTON
OR McAFEE ANTIVIRUS SYSTEMS. THE VIRUS SITS QUIETLY FOR 14 DAYS BEFORE
DAMAGING THE SYSTEM. IT IS SENT AUTOMATICALLY BY MESSENGER AND BY THE ADDRESS
BOOK WHETHER OR NOT YOU SENT E-MAIL TO YOUR CONTACTS.

Here's how to check for
the virus and how to get rid of it:
YOU MUST DO THIS:
1. Go to start, find or search option.
2. In the file folder option, type the name  jdbgmgr.exe
3.Be sure you search your C: drive and all subfolders and any other drives
you may have.
4. Click "find now"
5. The Virus has a Teddy bear icon with the name jdbg.exe.    DO NOT OPEN
IT!!
6. Go to Edit (on the menu bar) and choose "select all" to highlight the file
WITHOUT OPENING IT.
7. Now go to File (on the menu bar) and select delete. It will then go to the
Recycle Bin.
8. IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS
BOOK, SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR OWN ADDRESS BOOKS."

אכן נועם, מועדון מסירי הוירוס שאינו וירוס גדול בהחלט.

הקובץ jdbgmgr.exe הוא "מנהל הדיבאג של ג'אווה", מתוצרת מיקרוסופט.
לא שהוא מציאה גדולה, אבל לא צריכים למחוק אותו

דבר קטן שרציתי להוסיף:
הקבוץ הנ"ל הוא לא קריטי לתיפקוד תקין של מערכת ההפעלה והיא יכולה להמשיך לתפקד בלעדיו (חוץ ממי שכותב תוכניות ב JAVA ורוצה לדבג אותן)

חוץ מזה, למי שיש Windows 2000/XP אז מערכת ההפעלה תדאג להחזיר לו את הקובץ באופן אוטומטי מספרייה אחרת שבה נשמרים גיבויים של הקבצים הללו או שתבק את CD ההתקנה של ה Windows ותחזיר את הקובץ משם.
