11.8 Interpretation of Rules
Please note that these are interpretations issued in compliance with Rule 11.8.3 and are subject to ratification or
modification at the next IPSC Assembly.
In respect of Rule 6.2.5.1, competitors already registered in Open Division who fail to comply with the requirements of
Open Division during a course of fire will shoot the match for no score.
In respect of Rule 9.1.6.1, if it cannot be determined which hit(s) on a scoring paper target or no-shoot are the result of
shots fired through hard cover, the scoring paper target or no-shoot will be scored by ignoring the applicable number of
highest scoring hit(s).
In respect of Section 9.9, stationary targets which become partially or wholly concealed by action of a moving no-shoot or
vision barrier are subject to the same criteria concerning the application of failure to shoot at and/or miss penalties.
In respect of Appendix D4, Point 17, the expression “Single-action-only handguns are prohibited” means “Guns deemed
by IPSC to be single-action-only handguns are prohibited”.
In respect of Appendix D4, Point 20.3, the maximum surface area to which tape can be applied in a single layer
(unavoidable minor overlapping permitted), is illustrated in the diagram below.[/list]
