TASER USED AGAINST OFFICERS...

Tuesday night, a 17-year-old is behind bars.

APD says it started when Joseph Mesa would not pull over after running a stop sign.

Officers gave chase and say Mesa rammed a marked APD unit.

Police say Mesa eventually wrecked his vehicle at the corner of Oltorf and Parker and took off on foot.

Officers caught up with Mesa and tried to use a stun gun, but it did not work.

They say Mesa was able to grab it and shock two officers' hands.

No one was seriously hurt.

Mesa is charged with evading arrest, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of assault on a peace officer.
